Add to My Profile | More VideosI began playing in a band when I was in high school. The first "real" band I played with was the "DEBUTS" in Memphis, Tennessee. While in that band, we did a show in Chattanooga with Roy Orbison, Mitch Ryder and the Detriot Wheels, The Buckinghams, and The Tams. We had one hit song, "If I Cry" which was released in 1968.After entering the "real world", I stopped playing for over 25 years; until Sept. 4, 2001 (my birthday) when I bought a new accoustic and began writing and playing music again. I mostly wrote gospel music, but also write all types of music.I have sung in several different churches, and enjoy sharing "the spirit within me" with anyone who cares to listen. I have a small recording studio in my home, and on the songs you will hear on this site, I am playing all of the instruments except for the drums. I play my Fender Acoustic/Electric, my Fender Stratocaster, and the harmonica. I record the bass, lead, the rythym, and the vocals (including backup vocal) then mix them all together.I entered one song "Have Mercy On Me" in the Song of the Year Contest for the month of May, and it was chosen as one of the top five gospel songs summitted. I entered other songs in the Song of the Year Contest, and three were selected as runner up, one was in the honorable mention catergory. and I was selected as a "Suggested Artist" in that category.I hope you will enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoy making it, and if you are some big music producer who wants some great music to publish, give me a call. lol......I would enjoying playing in the Tipton County and north Shelby County area as I am fairly new to this area.
