Formed in 2001 Pama Intl are an all-star collective which includes American resident Lynval Golding (formerly of The Specials), Pama Intl founders Sean Flowerdew and Finny (both xThe Loafers and Special Beat) plus members from Pop Will Eat Itself, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Galliano, Lee Perry's band, Manasseh & more.
To date Pama Intl have released 4 critically acclaimed albums, recorded 2 Radio One Sessions, sold-out tours of Italy, Switzerland & UK, played triumphant sets at Glastonbury'04 & '07, Womad'05 plus signed deals in USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Mexico & Spain. Their recordings have been championed on the airwaves and sound systems the world over. They've performed alongside Jimmy Cliff, Prince Buster, Lee Perry, Rico Rodriguez, The Skatalites, Toots & The Maytals, Mad Professor, Don Letts, Madness and Easy Star All-stars winning crowds over where ever they go.
Last year Pama Intl became the first new band in 30 years to be signed by Trojan Records. The resulting release won critical acclaim from around the world and featured a phoenminal line up of legendary guests; Dennis Alcapone, Rico Rodriguez, Dawn Penn, Derrick Morgan, Winston Francis, AJ Franklin and the first recording from Dave & Ansel Collins since the 1970's.
Never ones to stand still, Pama Intl have just launched their own Rockers Revolt label, which has been snapped up by Universal for distribution across Europe and importing into North America. The first 10" is out now, Pama Intl meets Manasseh (RR10-001). This will be followed by a series of 7" and download singles, in Sept, Oct and Nov'07 as a prelude to the eagerly awaited 5th studio album PAMA INTL LOVE FILLED DUB BAND (Dec'07).
