About Me

Well lets see, I'm Abi, not abby or abbie, but Abi. I'm 23 and am a history major at EIU, I'm doing the teacher cert thing and want to teach high school, i'd rather stay away from junior high because they think they are really cool and they smell. I come from a small town in south central illinois we have inmates and cows, its pretty awesome. I like various different things and i'm sort of lame but really f-ing cool all at the same time.Some things i enjoy: My friends, my family, my dogs (max & zeke), the chicago bears, the st. louis cardinals, good music, good books, good movies..but then again who doesn't like those things? fishing, drinking beer, fishing and drinking beer, New York City, EIU, maine, and i will go there one day, old houses, winter skies, carving pumpkins, watching full house in the afternoon with claire, the apt, people who entertain me, hoodies, flip flops, i have a large amount of depressing music but i'm actually a really happy person, RSVP, chipotle, concerts, those certain songs that fit perfectly into whats going on in your life, degrassi, road trips with friends, spending my fridays with claire and michelle, catching up with "the group" from high school, trivial pursuit, history, blogging when the mood strikes, harrry potter, gibbering drunkenly about harry potter, garage parties, barack obama, thunderstorms, snow..not the canadian white rapper, mike tysons punchout!, mario kart, singing show tunes with elisa into the ice machine at iga, people watching, being around people but also being by myself, fall, and being an awesome dancer..?Things I don't enjoy: socks with sandals, heavy breathers, roller backpacks, hot topic, bad music, water chestnuts, carrying out groceries in lightening storms, douche bags, people who think they are extremley open minded but are just as judgemental as the "close-minded" people they strive not to be, when the bottom of my jeans are wet, george bush, tom cruise, internet talkers (the people in computer labs who talk to their emails like saying, "ohh good for her" and stuff like that) people who are on their cell phones when they go through the check out line at iga, little girls who dress like sluts, new drinkers (the people who are like, "omg, i was so wasted last night"), people who spell a lot as alot, black jeans, my smock, people who still think its funny that my last name rhymes with jerk off,

My Interests

Interests..hmm...reading, fishing, music, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football, Illini Basketball, hangingout w/ my friends, politics, history and other random stuff.

John Lennon, James Dean, John Steinbeck, JFK, My Grandpa, FDR, Winston Churchill, I'd like to punch Hitler in the face, Pope John Paul II, Jesus, Yanni, Joaquin Phoenix, Albert Pujols, Brian Urlacher, Coolio, John Krasinski (Jim Halpert) and anyone interesting/humerousand here is the magnitude of how big of a dork i am....

Music:

My top two bands are the beatles and radiohead. I also enjoy weezer, jimmy eat world, straylight run, taking back sunday, the shins, simon & garfunkle, CCR, led zeppelin, thrice, reel big fish, bon jovi, gin blossoms, coldplay, foo fighters, Johnny Cash,Jack's Mannequin, pearl jam, smashing pumpkins, i find the garden state soundtrack to be amazing, i have an odd thing for depressing music,i also get into weird moods and listen to the hip jams on the radio. I have a special place in my heart for most 60's music, it reminds me of my childhood, i also really like the dazed and confused soundtrack, i'll pretty much listen to anything as long as it doesn't suck i.e. good charlotte, simple plan,nickleback, hinder, i also have a deep hatred for mariah carey
