Jorge Acosta is my name. I am a musician and a geek. I am a human and an animal. I love music. I love the very fact that I can now talk to people who have similar taste in music and they don't have to be right next to me. I embrace the world around me and write about it in song and in words. Words and music are powerful.
The power, the means, the outlet, the availability of technology and the ability to harness and record my thoughts and write down my thoughts and share them is what I have sought my whole life.
I welcome all who listen and all who read. I welcome the banter and the noise. I welcome the people that come in and out of my life. I welcome the wandering souls that I have met in my dreams. I welcome the many faces and personalities that seem to walk in and out of my life. They all inspire, conspire to help make reality more interesting.
I take pictures. I take photos. I capture moments. I capture things and yet they are only captured for a moment. And in the moment, those few seconds, those moments I relish in.
I often dream of flying and swimming. I often dream of being on other planets and other skies. I often hear UFOs flying over. I often see things that seem to be so beautiful and yet they aren't and yet they are. I listen to certain songs over and over again. I see certain movies over and over again. I visit with certain people. I visit certain locations. I have been playing music and guitar for ages now. And what is it that got me playing. What is it that inspired me to play. It was hearing the guitar played by the likes of Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Smith, The Edge and what voices to I hear often in the distance, inspiring... I hear Jeff Buckley, I hear Thom Yorke, I heard Paul McCartney, I hear John Lennon, I hear Joni Mitchell, I hear Matthew Bellamy, I hear Saul Hernandez, I hear, I listen.
Carrageenan is a side project for me. Paper Pills is my band, but at times I just like to sit and ponder with guitar or keys in hand.
The songs that I have uploaded are from last year and this year. I am currently working on putting together a solo cd.
