Brooklyn authors Mary Ann, Robert and Bob Rustico present an anthology of the problems, concerns, triumphs and hopes of the customers in a fictitious diner. A ‘reality based’ novel, “Diner Conversations” eavesdrops on the customers of Nick’s eatery as they speak openly about love, life, illness, death, finances…social security, education, health care, politics, immigration, Iraq and more.
In addition to taking a poignant look at the everyday challenges that confront the average American, “Diner Conversations” also exposes our most cherished dreams and worst fears. The conversations depicted could be occurring anyplace in America where people are concerned about their lives and their country’s future.

Albeit a work of fiction, “Diner Conversations” brings to light the real issues that real people must deal with everyday.

“We wanted to try our best to embody the concerns and problems that are confronting people in the United States.” say the Rusticos. “The diner seemed the logical setting because most of them have a mix of customers who represent a wide variety of age, ethnicities, religious and economic groups.”
The Rustico’s diverse life experiences include managerial positions in marketing and general management, business and entertainment consulting as well as time spent on The Apollo Space Program. To date Mary Ann and Bob have collaborated on three novels. This is Robert’s first experience with the family’s literary endeavors.
“Diner Conversations” trade paperback is published by Domaco. Inc. and will initially be available at www.DinerConversations.com and selected diners.
