Hi Everyone: We are FUELED BY SOUND, a duo of artists coming together to create a new concept of music. Composed of Nico and Ferrari, FUELED BY SOUND seeks to break barriers and push the limits of the world of international pop, dance and R&B music. By crossing both cultural and global boundaries, our music provides an invigorating blend of international style. Nicolas Daniel Di Iorio aka NICO, formerly of the band EL LEON (SONY BMG), was born in New York on April 14, 1974 to parents of Italian and Argentine descent. At an early age Nico found a passion for playing the drums, piano and guitar. This fervor for the creation of rhythm and sound led to Nico’s formal musical studies in the areas of R&B, Rock, and Electro House. A diverse songwriter/musician and producer, Nico has found professional success within the Latin Rock scene performing with well known bands such as Los Fabuloso Cadillac’s, Los Enanitos Verdes, and Arteciopelados. To date, Nico is best known for his work with EL LEON, with whom he has performed for capacity crowds in major venues such as the Miami Arena and Walt Disney Park in Florida. Not to forget Nico has also performed at the infamous Beacon Theater in New York City. Leonardo Masetti aka Ferrari, was born in the Tuscan region of Italy on July 19, 1975. At the early age of 15, Ferrari began working as a DJ in the local clubs of Tuscany. His passion for energizing a crowd led him into production. The bright lights and big international stage brought Ferrari to New York City in 2000. Since his arrival, Ferrari has collaborated with Queens born rapper, Chase, providing beats for two tracks on Chase’s demo "Break, borrow and steal". Their passion for rhythm and dance brought Nico and Ferrari together to form FUELED BY SOUND. Seeking to appeal to the masses, they creatively produce lyrics and music for the diverse vocal styles of both Thalia Da Costa and Kristy. Highlighting both Thalia’s Caribbean roots and Kristy’s Brooklyn New York attitude, FUELED BY SOUND truly provides something for everyone on the dance floor. Soon to be spinning in clubs worldwide, “DON’T DISAPPOINT ME†featuring Kristy, will mark the beginning of FUELED BY SOUND’s presence in the international dance genre.
