Dynamite Soul! Dahinter verbergen sich die Leipziger Funksoulbrothers Plug und Mr. Edd. Die DJ’s lernten sich 2006 kennen und entdeckten ihr gemeinsames Interesse für die Wurzeln der Rapmusik. Ihr Herz schlägt unter anderem für Klassiker von James Brown, Curtis Mayfield oder Barry White.
Jedoch bedeutet das nicht nur Funk und Discosound, denn auch Stilrichtungen wie Latin-Boogaloo, Jazz und Rare Grooves gehören mit zum Repertoire. Nicht selten landen fast vergessene Schätze auf den Plattentellern, die zusammen mit modernen Funktunes (z.B. von The Bamboos, Sharon Jones, Breakestra) die Lautsprecher zum Beben bringen.
Gleich einem Ping-Pong-Team spielen sich Plug & Edd ihre Scheiben zu, wodurch eine Mischung entsteht, die wie ihr Name schon sagt, einfach "Dynamite" ist.

Dynamite Soul! The men behind this name are the Leipzig Funksoulbrothers Plug and Mr. Edd. The DJs got to know each other in 2006 and immediately discovered their shared interest in the roots of rap music. They favor the classics of James Brown, Curtis Mayfield or Barry White.
But this doesn't mean that there is only Funk and Disco-Sound as other music genres - such as Latin-Boogaloo, Jazz or Rare Grooves - also belong to their repertoire. Not uncommonly nearly forgotten treasures are revived on the turntables and together with modern tunes of funk they always raise the roof.
Like in a match of merciless ping-pong-players, Plug & Edd pass the records to each other. This results in a mixture that is - as the name suggests - purely "Dynamite"
