Vile Vortices is a production team of visual artists and musicians
(based in Melbourne) with a passion for the unique, eccentric and
experimental.
There are supposedly 12 vile vortices on earth (see picture below)
that are alleged to create anomalies of unexplained phenomena.
Two well known vortices are the BERMUDA TRIANGLE and the
DEVIL'S SEA.
There is a theory that these vortices may be wormholes to other
universes/dimensions - super highways through space, time and
matter.
Vile Vortices Productions aims to take your mind on a journey
through space and time via sight and sound, riding the super
highway of zeros and ones through the portals of the
VorticETV channel
and
VorticEzine.com
- production/promotional vehicles aimed at providing vital
exposure for artists from the realms of underground hip-hop
and experimental music.
With influences from and ties to the underground music scene,
Vile Vortices Productions endeavors to present a visual document
of exciting new music, art and culture as well as giving original
artists the opportunity to share thoughts in their own voice.
As artists ourselves (producers and performers with
afrobeat/psychedelic/funk/blues/reggae/etc band, 'jacaJAH' )
our main focus is to share these treasures with the greater
consciousness.
Vile Vortices Productions offers a time capsule of what's
happening now, behind the scenes and outside of the pop charts
with interviews, concert footage, blogs, social commentary and
visual arts.
Be warned, though, some of the artists have been labeled as
controversial. Some of the material is uncensored, containing
opinions belonging to the artists and should not necessarily be
considered that of Vile Vortices Productions. Having said that,
we believe that everyone is entitled to an opinion and to deny
that right is against freedom.
