Created in the autumn of 2002 by none other than: "Count" Darvius Noctem (Vocals, Keyboards, Piano, Synth Guitars, Bass, and Programming), aimed to create a dark and heavy musical entity, lead by keyboards and synthesizers (as opposed to guitars). The result is a "well-bred," theatrical zeitgeist, with a "gothic swagger," characterized by: dark, baritone singing, high pitched shrieks, as well as a haunting backing female vocal accompaniment. In addition, employing the forebodingly epic keyboard and piano melodies, a chaotic disarray of drum rhythms, pulsating basslines and subtle guitar accents to formulate and complete this orchestra of madness. All of which, tinged with a sickly dose of Industrial rock, to deliver: "Elevator Music For The Dying."In 2007, Demonika Demise (Female Vocals and Choir Voices) joined the band, bringing her opera and choral influence, thus making Days Of Our Decay an official duo. Days of Our Decay is an amalgam of "like-minded," as well as contradictory elements, thriving on unconventional tactics and idealisms, mixed with satirical clichés, standard song structures and patterns, creating a macabre, musical hybrid, bound by no limitations.
All music and lyrics are written, composed and arranged by Darvius Noctem.
