Chris Allen is a Texas based DJ, radio personality, musician, & writer.
Chris Allen has been writing music since he was a teenager in high school but never really got serious about it until after his father died at the end of the 90’s. At first, the music was just his therapy. A bright light of hope and positivity. A forward direction out of the darkness. Then, after the unfortunate events that took place after George W. Bush became this country's president unelect, Chris Allen was inspired to consciously pursue a life and career based on the positivity of love, hope, & creation rather than the negativity of fear, hate & destruction.
Since 2001, under the project name Stiletto, Texas, Chris Allen has released 8 self produced albums. The Stiletto, Texas project is made up of mostly chill, ambient, and down tempo music with a few peppy electronica tracks thrown in to shake things up a little.
In late 2007, Chris Allen released the first track from his new reggae/dub project, The Secret Loft Society. This reggeaton styled number, titled Barbaric, is a jab at our warmongering society utilizing samples of a certain well known long time U.S. Senator. Chris Allen's goals for T.S.L.S. are to focus on all that inspires love and uplifts us all be it a migrating butterfly, a perfect sky, or the eyes of a smiling child.
