With Mother, father and brother all being ministers of the gospel, Stroud’s musical influence began at an early age. As a percussionist, he has always been gifted when it comes to identifying the various sounds and instruments within a song. He began engineering at Grand Hustle Studios (Echo), where he met his partner Billy. With influences such as Timbaland, Just Blaze, and Keith Mack, Stroud knew that this was his calling.Born in South Korea, also on July 3rd, Billy Kim has been listening to underground hip-hop and jazz legends such as Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane for a large portion of his life. Studying to obtain a degree in Business Management, Billy was on the road to being an entrepreneur until he reconnected with cousin Hannah Kang, General Manager of Grand Hustle, and spoke about his musical capabilities. Soon thereafter, he began to intern at Echo Studios and started to soak in everything he could about production, sound, and composing.The pair did not meet until they were introduced on the job at Echo Studios. Sharing an interest in jazz music, Billy and Elliott immediately found an inconceivable connection.Two Band Geeks has been described as “very talented with a creative & unique style that shows up in their music.†Others have said that they are “A very grounded production team exuding a musical talent that is much needed in today’s industry.â€Currently working as in-house producers at Echo Studios in Atlanta, and working with artists such as Alfamega, Young Dro, JR, and Yung LA, the Two Band Geeks have created a trademark for themselves and strive to make more than just your average beats. Their focus is to create pop music, which is deemed to target a global market of listeners. A name such as Two Band Geeks is especially fitting for this talented duo on the rise to the top.
