About Me

I'm Johanna (pronounced jo-hah-na... like, it doesn't rhyme with banana). I have brown hair and green eyes. I have two older brothers who made me who i am, and a half sister in Indianapolis; I love them all dearly. I love a good cup of tea. I also am Madly in love with music and I play bass for 2 local bands. I've been playing bass since 1998ish, and while I don't do it anywhere near often enough, I do enjoy it. I tend to be very open and honest, yet somewhat introverted. Despite this, I greatly prefer spending my time with others [versus spending it by myself]. I'm not your average girl in many aspects, and I've led a fairly far from average life. I guess you'd have to get to know me to understand.
I grew up and live in Illinois, much to my dismay. I'd rather be somewhere pretty... somewhere that offers more outdoor activities, which I just don't get enough of in Illinois. I love horseback riding (saddleseat in particular!), skiing, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, nature, animals and LIFE in general. I, therefore, am a Biology major at Northern Illinois University, which suits me quite well. I'm also getting my Teacher's certification to teach high school, and I'm a part time dog groomer. I have aspirations to maybe one day become a vet, or perhaps an animal trainer, but who knows where life will take me. I always try my best to be optimistic.
Even more About me: I'm not big on history, or politics, or economics, or government, or anything of the sort and I'm not patriotic by any means. I'm not usually up to date on the most current events, and I could frankly care less about the latest gossip on famous people (unless it's Brad and Angie). :-P..
