Satanic Scums emerged in November of 2006, and began work immediately on a demo "Bloody Satanic War Anthmns." A minimalist approach was used for this album, with only snyth guitars, strings, and vocals being used in the mix at most times. The album was completed in June of 2007 but was not made available to buy until Febrary 2008. You can now buy the album from 'Bone Structure Records' (2 on my top friends) After the release of that demo album, Satanic Scums and local project 'One Dark Curse' began work on a split album with six tracks from each band being featured. This never saw the light of day due to the (permanent?) hiatus of One Dark Curse, so the decision was made to add 3 Songs (The Epic Chase Across Forest Grounds, Genocidal Regime, and The Great Black North) to the split songs and make it the first official Satanic Scums album. This album was released on September 29th 2008 on Pro-CDr with a 4 page booklet. Starting with the Grim O'er Passionate Lands album, and onwards, the decision was made to improve production qualities and give it a fuller overall sound, which will become the defining sound of the project.

In May 2008 Satanic Scums and veteran experimental symphonic black metal project 'Echoes of Silence' teamed up to deliver a experimental black metal split album. One reason the split works out well is the fact that both projects use snyththetic guitars, and has a slightly different sound from most black metal bands. This release is planned for the summer of 2008 and will be released in CD format on Clovenhoof Productions.
NOTE: This release has not been brought to life yet, and possibly will not be.
Also , the working on the second official full-length has begun and once again, production has taken a step up and a greater focus and improvement has taken place. The second album is entitled 'The Failure of Knowledge' features 11 tracks, with a total running time of approximately one hour. This album will be out as soon as a lable is found willing to release this..
