MySpace CodesThe 2007 Cadillac Sunset Jazz Festival, presented by Pride Magazine and brought to you by your Charlotte Area Cadillac Dealers, will be held on Saturday, September 22, at Symphony Park, SouthPark Mall. The day kicks off at 1:30pm and will continue throughout the day, showcasing local and regional artists. There will be food and fun for all ages! Please join us in welcoming the following artists to the stage at Symphony Park: KEN FORD An Atlanta-based jazz violinist, plays with a passion never seen in the most esteemed and decorated musicians. He becomes one with his violin and will have you entranced with his aggressive facial expressions and body movements. He has a soulful and funky sound, as well as a unique and electrical stage presence.MARIA HOWELL A Charlotte native, Maria is a phenomenal jazz singer and actress, best known as the "church choir soloist" from the movie "The Color Purple." She has shared the stage with Nancy Wilson, Marvin Hamlisch, Will Downing, and George Benson.UNCOMMON JAZZ FEATURING SHABLEEK A band based out of Charlotte, NC that allows the audience to be absorbed by the gumbo of jazz, funk, latin, soul, and neo-soul.SOULGANIC Also based in Charlotte, NC, Soulganic has a sound that captures the raw energy of funk syncopation, freedom of jazz improvisation and the passionate elements of Latin rhythms.This concert is FREE and is scheduled from 1:30pm until 8:30pm!PLEASE CHECK OUT THESE VIDEOS OF THIS YEAR'S PERFORMERS!
