Well, my name is Daniel. I am 18 years old, in high school, proudly gay, proudly Jewish, and currently reside in Southern California.
I enjoy painting (Not on walls or nails, on canvas, I just really wish it wasnt such an expensive hobby. Canvas and good paint is just, geez, so high. I can see where the starving artist thing comes from.) Talking to my amazing and lovely friends also make me happy, as well as getting good grades. Whenever my teacher tells me I passed something, I get a smile. Especially when its in a subject Im not very good at.
What makes me sad is my family. It may seem like such a standard answer for a teenager, but Ive had a lot of verbal and physical abuse from my family, so thinking of them really doesnt make me happy.
Another thing that makes me rather unhappy is my health. I fucked it up (not to mention my schooling) completely between the ages of 14 and 17. Because of what I did to it my lungs are in terrible shape, I get really bad coughing fits and sometimes can barely breathe. And to add to that, I get chronic headaches and pass out fairly often, and I know I should see a doctor, but Im truly scared that they will find something wrong with my head.
I am a very insecure and self hating individual. I suffer from bouts of depression and agoraphobia that make me need to isolate myself entirely. Luckily I havent had one of these fits in a year.
I listen to a less popular stream of music than most my age. I find the mainstream music around to vary often sound a lot like someone else, so I dont really listen to it. I tend to find my music from either the local eclectic radio station or, honestly, television shows and commercials.
