About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace).......................... Ben Junction Box purveys the kind of tekno muzik that's wonky, dirty, awkward, and yet somehow charming - like a grubby child you might meet in the park. His first experience of electronic music came through listening to cassettes of hardcore rave while driving round in other people's cars. Realising quickly that his native county of Cheshire wasn't where it's at, Ben relocated to south London just in time for the scorching Jungle summer of '95, and established a long, fruitful and expensive relationship with some of Croydon's finest record shops. In 98, fired up on techno, acid, bass, and electro, he scored some synths and locked himself away to learn the mysteries of the fierce bottom knocker - he emerged again in 2002 to the bafflement and indifference of a rave-weary world. Undeterred, he spent a year in the harsh proving ground of children's action songs, producing genre classics such as Let's All Make A Star and I'm A Little Green Frog, and preparing for his return. Now he's back, rocking his unique combination of glittery Italo bangers, dirty warehouse skuttercore and jelly-legged electro. He has also recently made the move to the fine city of Sheffield, whose dank northern gothic ambience wil no doubt be infusing his work before too long.In his free time, Ben enjoys travel, sparkling company, and playing the guitar very badly indeed.
