The Night Of His Very Own Room (New Songs Up)

About Me

In the year of our lord 2005, a trio of talentless musicians gathered together in a garage and attempted to make music. The project failed miserably, but out of the proverbial ashes rose another miserable attempt at music. This time, however, it lived long enough to gain some momentum and after several name changes it was able to establish an existence of its own, id est: The Night of His Very Own Room. By the end of the year the band had made little progress. A few songs were written and recorded in a primitive mongoloid fashion, but it was not enough to gain any sort of recognition as a professional outfit. The new year came and with it a new sense of purpose. By April of 2006 enough music had been congregated to form an album entitled "The Sun Will Go Down With These Lines...And Your Name." The band spent the better half of their spring break hand crafting homemade cd cases in preparation for their debut release concert.
Not too long after his penetration into the Redlands music scene, Rio was thrust into a whirlwind of angsty and emotional life experiences. He drank a lot to cope with it. He spent many nights of his summer making very rough love to his guitar. They had several children. Rio then took all of these children and wrapped them up in a spiffy little album. It was his second. He called it "We Were Too Young For This, Yucaipa" and it related his amorous exploits and mishaps to the world outside.
Afterwards more shows were played, more shit happened, and more substance abuse occurred. Towards the end of 2006 Rio grew restless and began composing his third album. Progression was the theme this time and the band experimented with new sounds while still retaining stylistic remnants of the past. In April of 2007 Rio played a series of shows leading up to the release of the cd titled "Then The Swing Door Swung Shut And It Never Opened Again."
Since then the band has relocated to sunny San Diego, which has been a prevalent seed sewn into the workings of their next album yet to be released. Expect music to be on it.
