In classical mechanics, momentum is the product of the mass and velocity of an object. In music, this is the Bulgarian-German collaboration between Dimitar Bodurov and Jens Düppe. Momentum Is the result of more then eight years working together on various projects all over Europe, which let them develop a high grade of common musical understanding.
Bulgarian folklore meets European Jazz and improvised tradition; raw improvised material vs. composition and strong sound.; a firm expression, which excludes the necessity of any other instrument.
Bodurov and Düppe rhyme these elements to form a young poetic form embodied with tension between fragile sounds and power rhythms.
