Via my brother UNOM, one half of the UJUDGE project, I got in contact with the English poet Bang Bang in january of 2007 to do an item for Partypeeps2000.com about the then new album he was bringing out with Kubus. It was for one of my formats for PP2G.TV, Beeld&Schrift. But more on that below. Bang Bang liked the finished product so much that he asked me to do his and Dutch super-producer Kubus' next videoclip, which turned out to be for the song 'Stop The Problems'. When I bought their album prior to the interview, yeah you gotta support the music you find cool, that song was one of my favorites and i found it an honor to be able to work with them on that video. So we took to the streets, actually just a huge ass swimming cool and a completely white studio, with 5 camera's, 1 mobile telephone, 3 light stands, 1 mobile light, a sound system and a crew of 6 and made the video. It's a 1 take live performance videoclip. The vocals of the track were re-recorded live during the same performance you're watching. A revolutiontary mindset critiqueing the lack of musical sincerity, originality and reality in modern Hip Hop videoclips. Where in the official videoclip there are also inserts of Bang Bang's dancing, Kubus' skateboarding & them jumping into a pool at the end, I find the stand alone performance edit theoretically & visually stronger.

After this videoclip I went on to make 'Middlefinger (acapella)', 'Blockrockers', 'Organic Milk For All', 'Kubus & Bang Bang's Fresh Cotton Ad: Mens', 'Kubus & Bang Bang's Fresh Cotton Ad: Ladies' and off the album Pie & Mash 'Blackness' & 'Let's Fuck Each Other'. 'Let's Fuck Each Other' in contrast to the before mentioned clips, commercials and short films that i produced, filmed, edited & co-directed, I didn't edit. But I did produce, film & co-direct both the videoclip & the making-off. The making-off was filmed & co-directed by Jeffrey Croese of Vinger.nl & the set-photography was done by Marques Malacia of MonQuichot. For 'Let's Fuck Each Other' I also shot footage at Lowlands 2007 where they were performing. The footage of that performance at Lowlands 2007, filmed & live-edited by the Lowlands organisation itself, I reedited for their overseas promotion DVD. I also filmed Kubus & Bang Bang's performance at O'Six in Rotterdam during the Skateboarding World Championship 2007. I have also shot footage for 'Rough Diamonds: The Documentary' and the physical training sequence for another Bang Bang project. And I have produced several designs for Bang Bang's forthcoming clothing line, one of which, the OK-tee, is already on sale on FreshCotton.com.
I'm currently working with Jeffrey from Vinger.nl on a steady basis. We started working together for the legendary Mofyah parties in Utrecht. He helmed the creative direction of that organization. After working with each other on that project we hit it off professionally and started working together on various projects. The video below is such a project. He came up with the idea and filmed and directed it. And then i got the footage and got to work my magic on it during the edit and the colour grade phase. Vinger placed the brag and boast nature of the lyrics within a larger context by pushing VLT, fatherless troops, to the forefront of the musical revolution within Amsterdam South-East. For years talents have been walking around Amsterdam South-East and not gotten the same respect or recognition as artists in other parts of Amsterdam, and the Netherlands for that matter. Vinger placed VLT within the bigger art movement of the area as the clip nearly flawless threads between the streets & institutional art as they walk through a museum. By doing so they are taking more credibility as they represent where they are from.

I got in contact with Partypeeps2000.com via an acquintance of mine who I organized an event with in december 2005 (that year's biggest party in Utrecht). He told me that they were looking for people for their tv department. So i applied for an internship got hired and have been working their ever since. I've been involved in various projects ranging from spearheading the creative team behind the 2006 PP2G Awards to making an international festival report from the Splash Festival in Leipzig in 2007. Currently I'm the format developer for PP2G.TV. In that capacity i make sure all our formats, interviews, reports, specials etc, are continually identifiable as made by PP2G.TV and develop new formats.
Check out the exclusive interview PP2G.TV had with Dancehall superstar Elephant when he was in Holland in may 2007. I directed and edited the interview and the interviewer is my brother ..UNOM .
