Myspace Layout Generator by LayoutGeneratorMyspace.com
The Killgirls are a 5 piece dance/rock band from Adelaide, SA consisting of Tony Irish (drums/percussion), Adam Hood (synthesizers), Nick O'Connor (bass/backing vocals), Rusty Hutchinson (guitars/backing vocals) and Mario Spate (vocals/synthesizers). The band formed in 2007 and after a few line up changes, they have been moulding their sound and building a loyal fan base.
They have played all of Adelaide’s indie haunts, supported UK International’s, packed Producer’s ‘Wish’ and The Ed’s ‘Transmission Live’ and recorded their debut EP in November 2008 with Melbourne producer Jed Palmer who is currently producing Vince Giarusso’s (Underground Lovers, Mist and Sea) new album. They have also enlisted the help of UK mastering legend Mike Marsh who has worked with the likes of The Prodigy, Chemical Bros, Does It Offend You, Yeah? and The Presets.
2009 will see The Killgirls take advantage of east coast hook ups, promote their EP, destroy countless dance floors and distil their flavour further. In March they are set to support Art VS Science for Transmission Live! 1st birthday, support WA's End Of Fashion, play the Adelaide fuse festival and prepare for their massive launch on May 2nd. The Killgirls are ready to explode on your radio, in your ipod and in the club!
