In 1984 Steve Pearson and Pat Hewitt founded the Rangehoods. Trying to shake the Beatlesque vibe that Steve had with the Heats, they became the bad boys about town with louder guitars, less harmonies and more screaming vocals. The band was very popular in the local scene filling up every club they performed in and also did some national touring through their sponsorship with Miller Beer. Famous for their original songs and their Gibson Super 400's with Vox amps. They released one vinyl EP "Rough Town" (also on cassette) and one vinyl LP "Long Way Home" (also in CD format).
