Crown of Patience

new album coming soon, how soon, have patience

About Me

Jason's brother taking him to a Cure concert in 1992 changed the way he thought about music forever. He then bought the entire Cure collection along with several other bands such as: Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Church, New Order, Depeche Mode, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, The Cranes and many others. All of these bands had a certain dramatic songwriting style that he fell in love with and he still loves it today. There are a lot of bands out there, but there are very few creative bands that have their own sound. The bands that have influenced Jason to become a musician have all created their own original paths in the music industry. It wasn't until the age of 19 that Jason started playing guitar and keyboards. He only played in a few bands over the years and decided in 1998 that he needed to develop his songwriting skills and work on his chops as he was a late bloomer. So he went solo for a while as he did not have a strong songwriting role in any of the bands he played in. There was always a sound he heard in his head and he felt that until he could replicate that sound with real instruments, he would not be ready to share his music with the world. This leads to the current band of Crown of Patience, name was created to reflect a relaxed attitude of going nowhere fast while being patient with others. Jason over the years has learned to play several instruments to become a one man band, but realized he didn't want to go it alone. So in 2007 he officially put a band together. Two great and talented friends Pino Farina of Dearborn (appears courtesy of Sideways 8 Records) and Ed Gershon (Edcoustic) were added to tackle vocals and lead guitars. And in 2008 Rino Farina was added to play drums to complete the line up. The band is focusing on songwriting and the completion of it's first album, which as of Fall 2008 is 50% done. At the same time the band is working on playing the material live, so future shows are on the horizon.
