Race be the name better known as Dat Dood Race . I'm 18 years old. Born in Newark. Lived out there for a few. Spent most of my years raised in 325-339 projects in Orange, New Jersey and started rapping at age 8 . The project life got crazy after a while and I had no choice but to move to East Orange with my grandmother where it made no difference. There, i was rapping but i was only playing around with it. In March 2001, i moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey and around age 14 i started taking rap more seriously . They say "Musik is life", I figured I can't live without it. I go everywhere with my iPod and my headphones. I love music so much, I figured why am I listenin to rappers tell about they troubles and struggles in a rap, and show their skill, when i can do the exact same thing, and maybe better. Somewhere around 2004, is when I met my homie Tyke. My homie Tyke was the one who mainly got me back into rapping and I found out he knew my cousin NaWoo, and from there we were named TNR. ( Tyke, NaWoo, Race ) In the long run, Tyke suddenly stopped rapping for some strange reason, and me and NaWoo kept it going. In December 2007, that's when me and NaWoo ran into J-Loot, Blank, and J-Redd at the movie theaters and jumped into in a cypher. From then on, January 2008 was the beginning of the 2008 takeover . We went into the booth about every week or so and laid down many tracks and from then on... Greene Team Money Gang has been the family since.
I basically write my music about the facts of life. From struggling to wealth . I don't like to talk a whole lot about a bunch of lies as other rappers. My music is either based on things I been though, things I'm going through, or things other people is going through. I like to talk about things people can relate to throughout their lives. From love to money. My music is known to inspire more people than you think. And for those who wonder why my name is RACE. It stands for "Respect Aint Coming Easy." First you get the money , then power , then find a way to earn your respect . It will also be the name of my first mixtape droppin soon before the summer hits !
