Influences: It really depends on which band member you ask, considering that Mark's main influences come from the noise/dark ambient side, Dan's come from the IDM (and, in the past, the power noise) side, and Mike's come from the indie rock, noise, and punk side of things.
Sounds Like: 15 Degrees Below Zero's sound ranges from subdued, drifting ambience,
featuring skewed, conventional instrumentation and tatters of rhythm,
to more insistent, grittier electronic flourishes.
"15 Degrees Below Zero take hold of the territory between droning ambiance and noise and meshes it together quite well and in a very pleasing way, while puting their own unique slant on the styles of music they incorporate."
-Connexion Bizarre
"A harrowing assortment of apocalyptic noise pieces with slight moments of rhythm and melody, like shards of light shining upon an audio field of ruin and devastation."
-Ilker Yucel, ReGen Magazine
Eric of Sleeping With the Earth's description of the first IFAU EP works for our current stuff as well:
"Reminds me very much of Voice of Eye, with the ambient stuff and then the noisey stuff and then the rhythmic stuff, and then the rhythmic noisy stuff, and all that other stuff in between. You can quote me on that."
