Over the years I have gotten caught up in the rut of going to work then home, and not enjoying myself as much as I used to, but now I want to go out lots. I can say I am interested in blonde nerdy or sexy spectacular guys, but I've met one blonde whose made my heart melt, monkey boy doesen't play around..., astrology, maps (I wet my pants when I started playing with google's satellite maps), traveling (though I haven't done much lately), shopping (pay for quality ie: my Louis V wallet). I am open for new things, I need some new hobbies in addition to the old.
Great wonderful people. I am interested in warm hearted, funny people in my life. My life is way too short for drama queens, for that I'd rather stay home.
I'm an 80's electro pop new wave kid--Depeche Mode, New Order, the Smiths, the Cure, Pet Shop boys, so on and so forth. Today I like, stuff from the Killers, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand, the new 9 inch nails is great, so is the new Depeche release--precious!
I have recently seen "The Queen and I think Helen should get an acadamy for that preformance of the Queen. My all time favorite so far is "Goodfellas" since I sometimes confuse it for my family movies....LOL...
I am not one for reality TV, I am an HBO show whore. I still can sit down and watch re-runs of Sex in the City (even though I have most of the lines memorized), Sopranos, Bill Mahar, and loved Queer as Folk. The only regular network shows are problably Will and Grace (pretty much it--I have no patience for regular TV) I also have been getting into news shows, I keep CNN on in the background, and go to sleep by it. I can also get into the history channel.
I do read, when I don't get the reading A.D.D. syndrome. I sometimes read at least 2 or 3 books at a time, then won't get back to the first book for a year! The types of books I like are trashy gay novels, anything to do with WWII ( I almost came in my pants the other day when I saw a WWII map book), and original non-commercial Anne Rice novels to name a few. When I read I like to be taken into another world, not the one I am in now.
My heros: the list will start with my Mom she was an amazing person and I miss her very much!! She finally learned how to enjoy her life to the fullest before she fought cancer.F.D.R. is another hero as well, I don't know why but for a parapalegic to run the country for 12 years was amazing, as well as the programs he created to bring the country into the 20th century and beyond.
