SOUL PURPOSE is a seven piece musical group that combines the impact of a solid rhythm section, precision horn melody lines topped off with a powerful vocal presence. The song repertoire of SOUL PURPOSE includes Motown, Soul, Rock, Swing, R&B, Blues and Jazz.SOUL PURPOSE came together on New Years Eve 1997 for their first gig. They have since been bringing their infectious musical sounds to parties, festivals, fund raisers, clubs and weddings throughout the Mid-Hudson valley and beyond.The original SOUL PURPOSE members consist of Sue Wallace, lead vocals and percussion; Jerome Cimino, lead vocalist and guitar; Buddy Wallace, bass guitar and vocals; Lori Morris, alto & tenor saxophone, percussion and vocals; Rich DeCrosta, trumpet, flugelhorn, percussion and vocals and Art Szabo, keyboards and vocals. Steve Turowski, on drums, joined SOUL PURPOSE in April 2000.SOUL PURPOSE plays music that is so well known and loved that there is no way for anyone to resist participating in some fashion, whether it be dancing, singing along or just tapping their feet to the solid, powerful and enjoyable beat that is SOUL PURPOSE.
