About Me

My two biggest goals in life was to either become a success in the Sports world, or in the music business. I love sports very much, but music is what I ended up doing. I have been blessed to have a very successful career so far in the music biz. I started out managing bands in the early to mid 80s, and was the general manager at the original Ritz from 1986-1994, and general manager at the State Theatre from 1994-2000. In 2000, I created and developed the Emerald Theatre complex into a multi-purpose venue that has hosted national concerts, nightclub style dance nights, and corporate parties and seminars. Highlighted events include corporate parties with Sports Illustrated, Chevrolet, Outback Restaurants, and Quicken Loans. The Emerald has also hosted numerous political events and fundraisers with various government officials, which include Governor Jennifer Granholm and Senator Debbie Stabenow. I have literally booked thousands of shows over the years between all the places I have been at. The ones I am most proud of are Kid Rock, Metallica, Prince, Ozzy, Alice in Chains, Sting, Nickelback, Motley Crue, Black Crowes, and Buckcherry.
In addition to owning and operating the Emerald, I also own Hemisphere Entertainment, a production company whos clients include Freedom Hill Amphitheater and the following festivals: Arts, Beats, and Eats, Detroit Downtown Hoedown, Motown Winter Blast, Jambalaya Street Festival, Detroit International Riverdays, and the Detroit Grand Prix. My newest venture is a company called Funfest Productions. With that company, I have been able to create and produce my own festivals like the St. Clair Riverfest, and Mount Clemens' Stars & Stripes Festival.
Dreams can come true if you work hard and apply yourself. I am living proof of that. Many people think I am too serious, and maybe they're right. But that's who I am. Those that are close to me know a whole different side of me. I hope they don't tell anyone. LOL.
