The Dylan Tree, are a collection of well known Toronto musicians, with well over 100 years of collective stage experience, who have put together their own retrospective of the Bob Dylan catalogue. The show is set up to feature the lyrics and message of the Master, a treat to sit down and listen to the astute observations, crazy musical portraits, common sense preaching and beautiful melodies from the 20th Century Man On The Mountain.
Richard Kahl On electric guitar, vocals, harmonica, mandolin, originally from the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, Richard has played professionally since the age of 13. Credits include decades with the Blushing Brides, 15 albums with Classic Albums Live, and co-founding member of the indie recording group Champagne Boys. He has also written and performed vocal and instrumental music for network television and various radio campaigns, and assisted in the design of the current Nortel recording studio.
Paul Martin Guitar player originally from Kingston Ontario, has more than 30 years of musical experience under his belt, and credits that include; forming the Blushing Brides, playing with Bo Diddley, a year and a half as a solo singer-songwriter in London and New York, forming the original band Tripminer and the 10 year old publishing company “Martinworks†selling music to film and television.
Matt Greenberg Matt started his musical career as a Royal Conservatory of Music graduate, studying bass violin, classical guitar, vocals, harmony and theory, and played in ensembles and orchestras. Primarily occupying the bass chair, he has toured, done session work and TV specials, or played for, Lori Yates, Jules Shear, Richard Berry, George Fox, Murray McLaughlin, and Shania Twain. In the recording world he played and wrote songs with several popular singer/songwriters and bands, including a long stint with EMI Capitol band, The Jitters, who made two records that yielded several notable hits including ‘Last of the Red Hot Fools’ and ‘Closer Everyday’. He is also currently involved in several projects in the musical community such as The Blushing Brides, and Brothers Grim, an original project described as psycho-folk apocalypse.
Doug Inglis Born & raised in Ottawa, Doug started drumming professionally in1970 with Powerhouse, which later included Brian Rading of Five Man Electrical Band. Moving to Toronto in 1976, he joined and still plays with Goddo, who have so far recorded 6 studio albums & 2 live albums. Other recording projects include 2 albums with long time friend and Ottawa native Paul Fenton and an album as founding member of the Toronto based Celtic rock band, The McBrides. Doug has been touring North America for years with The Blushing Brides, Classic Albums Live and as a member of the legendary Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks. The Hawks shows have led to some memorable gigs, sharing the stage with long time heroes like Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman, Dom Troiano, George Olliver, Garth Hudson & Levon Helm.
Martin Aucoin Originally from the Maritimes, Martin headed west and graduated from Humber College Music Program in 1981 and played keyboards in the Toronto area with Juno award winner Morgan Davis, Jack DeKeyser, country singer Cliff Edwards (The Bells) and Bo Diddley. In 1990 he migrated to Nashville and spent ten years playing in bands with B.J. Thomas, Ricky Van Shelton, Tony Joe White, Alan Jackson, Mark O’Conner, recording with BJ, Garth Brooks, George Strait, and a four year gig playing The Grand Ole Opry with Cajun singer Jimmy C. Newman. Back in Toronto in 2000, Martin continues to play with the likes of the Lincolns, George Olliver, Johnny Maax, The Wilkinsons, Chuck Jackson and many more.
