After getting my bachelor degree in Biological Psyhology in 2007, I dicided not to go for a career in neuroscience, but made a switch to the world of art and joined the Fotoacademie Amsterdam. Photography had been a serious hobby for quite a few years by than. Both my interests in neuroscience as my interests in art spring from the same passion; to investigate the depths of human vision, the perception, the experience.
My attempts to show the world as I like to see her knows various facets, but is always characterised by this drive to provoce some kind of emotion with the viewer. Cold and distand, surreal or uncanny images are reflecting either dream, nightmare or dark erotic fantasy.
Next to creating, I also like to be the link between the artist and the audiance. I do so through Villa Diodati:
