The Slippery Elm Medicine Project

About Me

Chris and the SEMP can also be found on Facebook. Look for Chris on "Chill Out". A nationally released acoustic compilation featuring your's truly, our friends Jatoba and many more up and coming artists. You can buy it at Walmart, Record & Tape Traders, Best Buy to name a few and you can download it at iTunes.com, amazon.com, mtraks.com, audiolunchbox.com and emusic.com. The Slippery Elm Medicine Project was conceived by Chris in late 2005 as homage to herbal medicine, nutrition, holistic healing practices, the green and organic lifestyle and the endangered Slippery Elm tree. Chris’ solo career as a singer and songwriter in Salt Lake City, UT and Boulder, CO allowed him to fuse paths with folks he has met along the way slowly building a musical experience to be remembered. In the music today and depending on who is sitting in with Chris, you will experience tastes of acoustic blues, bluegrass, folk, rock, funk, afro-beats and lots of passion. Known for energetic live performances, Chris and his posse of guests pack a full set playing off the emotions of the crowd providing slow, contemplative numbers to upbeat, dance-your-pants-off tunes. In winter of 2007 the song “What’s in Your Mind?” was chosen to be included on the acoustic compilation Chill Out, nationally distributed by Quickstar Productions and is serving as a positive stepping stone for the project’s musical endeavors. They can currently be seen around the Colorado front range region and surrounding areas. Chris hopes to donate to various organizations and research groups that are work diligently finding ways to bring a stop to Dutch Elm Disease and Elm Phloem Necrosis which are killing off Elm trees throughout Europe, Canada and the United States at an epidemic rate. For booking and contact info or to inquire about Dutch Elm Disease and Elm Phloem Necrosis, email [email protected] This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
