With great songs, fantastic vocals and a world class production, the Siberian band Evolution take their first steps on the international arena. All of them being highly skilled musicians and writers make them anything but beginners though. The skill they possess and the music they put out make them one of the most interesting new bands out there today. The band begins its history in the Siberian city of Barnaul, Russia, where on one snowy night music was created by a couple of bored guys. The setting at a local bar soon drew a crowd and the guys managed to pay their tab that night from the proceeds. The humble beginning was soon to mature into a full band. To make a long story short they formed the current line up adding the electric lead singer Olga. The name Evolution was picked and they started looking for international collaborators, their pick was to be the Swedish label/studio Pama Records that was to produce their full length album. The band started working with Pama producer Mankan Sedenberg to make the songs reach their full potential. This resulted in 11 songs, displaying the varying backgrounds of the band, and their desire to bring something new and fresh to the fans. The album encompasses many styles, directions and lyrically they have found a way to combine meaning and depth in a fascinating way - staying true to their russian roots. The songs are also filled with exciting and beautiful melodies that ties in extremely well with the lyrics – music to discover and rediscover. Evolution, may not come from a place that you know of, they may not share your experiences - big or small - but the stories they tell are contemporary and honest and they point to the fact that we all share the same destiny of being human - for good and bad - and that's Evolution!
