Born in Seattle Washington, spent K-8 in Haines Alaska and then moved to Orofino Idaho were I went to high school. My parents were both teachers in Haines and retired before we moved to Idaho. Moving to Idaho I played football my freshman through junior years as a left gaurd on offense. Yes, my skinny ass was a lineman. HAHA, lauph all you want. Anyways, I also ran track in high school all four years. After graduating I enlisted in the Marine Corps and spent 8 years as a Low Altitude Air Defense Gunner (LAAD Gunner) After spending 3 months in bootcamp in San Diego, CA and another 3 weeks at Camp Pendleton, CA for Marine Combat training, I was sent to Okinawa Japan for a year and a half. While there I was assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and traveled to Korea, Thialand, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Baharain and Saudia Arabia. After my time in Okinawa, I was assigned to a relatively new unit called LAV-AD Plt (Light Armored Vehicle Air Defense) in Camp Pendleton CA. I spent 5 years with them and went to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom attached to 2nd LAR Battalion. After returning from Iraq my platoon was disbanded and I was sent to 3rd LAAD (Low Altitude Air Defense) on Camp Pendleton. I finished my career there. After being denied re-enlistment due to a knee injury, I came back home to Idaho and am currently a Business and Accounting Major at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
