MUSICISTA e INSEGNANTE
Mamo, vero nome Massimiliano Giusti,nasce a Viareggio il 28/06/1977. Comincia presto gli studi di chitarra classica,ma abbandona dopo poco. Durante gli anni delle scuole superiori riprende la voglia di suonare e si distingue per la sua spiccata attitudine rock . Ben presto dopo una serie di esperienze in band locali cerca di muovere i propri passi oltre i confini cittadini. Nel 1997 entra in contatto con Gray, autore e cantante rock calabrese, leader dei Gran’ma Monkey, band culto della scena underground italiana e già componente di altre famose band della scena rock dei primi anni ’90 (L.A.Rocks, Babylon, Nasty Licks, Tapir Gets Angry). Da qui ha inizio la collaborazione artistica come arrangiatore e membro della band. Nel 1998 registrano un mini cd contenente la canzone “Attimi” con cui si presentano all’accademia di San Remo. Nel 1999 un altro mini cd viene recensito “top Demo” dal magazine Metal Shock. Per due anni segue un intensa attività live in giro per tutto il paese.Tra il 2000 e il 2001 arrangia e registra il full lenght “Shake Me” con gli H.A.R.E.M. gruppo Hard Rock di Lucca, capitanati dal cantante Freddy Delirio già componente dei Death S.S. Il disco vede la luce nel 2002 e segue un tour promozionale e l’uscita di un singolo.
Nel frattempo frequenta l’accademia di musica moderna “Music Academy 2000“ di Bologna. Nel 2002 e 2003 partecipa con i GRAY a San Remo Rock. Apre a Meganoidi, Marlene Kuntz e Verdena nelle edizioni 2002 e 2003 del festival “Metarock” In questo periodo fonda insieme a vecchi compagni un tributo a David Bowie, gli Zkippy Stardust, dal nome del cantante Skip, musicista inglese componente di una delle maggiori band della scena londinese di metà anni ’80, “The Last of the Teenage Idols”. Saltuariamente partecipano alle gigs anche Andy e Sergio Carnevale (entrambe membri dei Bluvertigo).
Suona con Gli Eurosmith famosa tribute band romana degli Aerosmith con cui tutt'ora gira mezza Italia e mezza europa tra Germania, Austria,Irlanda, Inghilterra....etc... Con loro ha avuto l'onore di suonare al mitico Marquee Club di Londra.
Ad aprile 2004 esce per l’etichetta indipendente Blonde records di Enrico Capuano il primo singolo ufficiale di Gray “la Mediazione Perfetta” al quale ha collaborato anche Fabrizio “Simoncia” Simoncioni. Il singolo contiene la title track “la Mediazione Perfetta”, in italiano e inglese, e la ballata “Stella”. Nello stesso anno ha inizio un mini tour promozionale e una serie di apparizioni radiofoniche e televisive come apripista al futuro lavoro in studio prodotto da Luca Nesti( Mina,Masini,Celentano.etc..) Dal 2005 entra a far parte dello staff del JAM – Centro Musica Moderna di Lucca. Ha collaborato con la Mokke’s Backline Rent di Firenze come Backliner avendo la possibilità di lavorare con alcuni dei nomi più importanti della scena internazionale, su tutti importante è quella con Alice Cooper . Negli ultimi anni ha avuto L'onore di dividere il palco e suonare insieme a artisti del calibro di Sonny T. (Prince,New Power Generation, Giorgia), i Twin Dragons di Nathaniel Peterson(J.L.Hooker,Iggy Pop,Clapton...), Graham Oliver (Saxon)... Al momento èimpegnato con la sua nuova band “J27” con cui ha scritto registrato il debut album che è uscito il primo Marzo 2008 con l'etichetta indipendente Costa Ovest Records,in collaborazione con Go Down Records,la cui pubblicazione e distrubuzione è curata da ANDROMEDA DISCHI. la band ha già riscosso un discreto successo nelle prime uscite promozionali con la presentazione in Tv del primo singolo e Video clip "PAZZIA" e si preannuncia un tour intenso.

Mamo, real name Massimiliano Giusti, born in Viareggio on the 28/06/1977, started at an early age to study classical guitar, however it was short lived. During the secondary school years the wish to play guitar came back with a distinguished path towards Rock and after a few experiences with small bands, tried to move outwards of the local boundaries. In 1997 contact was made with Gray, writer and rock singer from Calabria, leader of the Gran’ma Monkey, cult band from the Italian underground scene and already part of other famous bands on the rock scene in the early 90’s (L.A.Rocks, Babylon, Nasty Licks, Tapir Gets Angry). It was from here that began an artistic collaboration as music arranger and member of the band. In 1998 a mini cd was recorded including the song ‘Attimi’ with which they presented at the academy of San Remo Festival. In 1999 another mini cd was reviewed as ‘Top Demo’ by Metal Shock magazine. The following two years involved an intense activity of live shows traveling around the whole country.Between years 2000-2001 arranged and recorded in full length ‘shake me’ with H.A.R.E.M, Hard Rock group from Lucca, led by lead singer Freddy Delirio already part of Death S.S. The cd was released in the year 2002 followed by a promotional tour and the release of a single.All the while attending the academy of modern music ‘Music Academy 2000’ in Bologna. In 2002 and 2003 participated in San Remo Rock with Gray, and was the opening act for Meganoidi, Marlene Kuntz and Verdena (big italian bands) in the 2002/2003 edition of ‘MetaRock’ festival. In this period, together with old friends, formed a tribute band to David Bowie, the ‘Zkippy Stardust’ who on some occasions were joined on stage by Andy and Sergio Carnevale (members of Bluvertigo,one of the most succesfull band of the country) The name derived from the singer Skip, English musician member of one of the major bands from the London scene in the mid 80’s, ‘The Last of the Teenage Idols’. Also playing together with the famous tribute band to Aerosmith the ‘Eurosmith’ with friends from Rome with whom until now have played around Europe in places such as Germany, Austria, Ireland and England, and also had the immense pleasure to play at the legendary club Marquee in London.In April 2004 the first official single of Gray ‘la Mediazione Perfetta’ was released under the independent record label Blonde Records of Enrico Capuano, collaborated with Fabrizio “Simoncia” Simoncioni (at that time keybord player and producer for the multi platinum singer Ligabue). The single contained the title track ‘la Mediazione Perfetta’ in Italian and English, and the Ballad ‘Stella’. During that same year a mini promotional tour and a series of appearances via radio and TV were conducted as apripista to future studio works produced by Luca Nesti (Mina,Masini,Celentano.etc..).From the year 2005 entered as part of the staff at the school JAM-Modern Music Centre of Lucca. Collaborated with Mokke’s Backline Rent of Florence as backliner and had the opportunity to work with some of the most important names in the international scene, one of the most important being Alice Cooper. In the last year has had the honor to share the stage with such artists as Sonny T. (Prince,New Power Generation, Giorgia), The Twin Dragons of Nathaniel Peterson(J.L.Hooker, Iggy Pop, Clapton...), Graham Oliver (Saxon)...In this moment is busy with a new band ‘J27’ with whom has written and recorded their debut album released the 1st of march 2008 under the independent record label Costa Ovest Records, in collaboration with Go Down Records, of whom are publicized, distributed and cured by ANDROMEDA DISCHI. The band has already had a discrete success in the first promotional outings with a presentation of the first singles music video ‘PAZZIA’ and an intense tour is sure to follow.
