NEW REDWING

About Me

..The above pics were taken by Paul Adams at The Regal Theatre, Bathgate. New Redwing playing support to Special Consensus, January 2009. ..Hi! We are Louise and Alan. We've been gigging for many years and we are respected and acknowledged as the foremost exponents of Bluegrass and Bluegrass gospel music in Scotland. We feature harmony vocals and we have a long pedigree in the genre. In the 1980's we formed one half of the influential Old Hickory Band. In 1989, we teamed with bassist, Allan, forming Redwing.Since that time we have recorded one album called Running Wild, we've played at numerous bluegrass festivals and had regular gigs in the Glasgow area and Ayrshire.Recently we have been performing as a double act, with Hazel joining us regularly which is great fun since she sings such a wonderful third part harmony. A second CD has recently been recorded and will shortly be available.pics above - courtesy of fab photographer and friend - David B ! ................Archive Pics below.......Alan caught playing 'Rebecca'Guildtown 08 fantastic photography courtesy -David Brown. to see more of his stunning photographs log on to http//:gallery.me.com/davidandmorag1
