Camilla Skjaerbaek is 17 years old, and lives in a little village called Thyregod, in Denmark. She spent last year at Klejtrup Musikefterskole (continuation school). Today, she is studding at a high school in Vejle, Denmark.
Both of Camilla's parents are music teachers, so as long as Camilla remember, she has been into music - many different kinds of music.
Camilla got her own, real instrument, when she was about 6 years. From there, the first instrument took the second one, and today, she describes her self as a "multi-musician". She masters the transverse flute, the clarinet, the saxophone, the piano and she sings.
The last few years, Camilla has opened her eyes to that world, which is about to create music. In May 2007, Camilla met an American boy called Christian. He made it all happen. Christian told Camilla, that he wrote poems, and he showed some for her. Camilla decided to make some of them into songs - it made out as a success.
After one song, she made another one and so on. Today, Camilla is having a collection of songs - both songs with Christian's lyric, but also with lyric by herself. Gradually, she has been out performing her songs a lot of places.
In the June number of the music magazine "GAFFA", 2008, Camilla got a review, where she got 5 stars for her demo recordings.
The summer, 2008, Camilla performed at Skanderborg Festival in the competition Star Fighter (talent of the year). She end out of the front rank, but she received a special honour as "best vocalist". GAFFA made a review from that performance; "16 years, plays piano, and a giant talent in her infancy" . She got 4 stars.
28th May 2009, one of Camilla's songs, Hoping for you, got published in America by the American record called 272 Records. The song got published on an album called Acoustika Vol. 16
Camilla is performing as often as she can. And she is working hard to get an EP finished.
