Harold G. Burnett II was born and reared in Philadelphia (PA). He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. At the tender age of 16, Burnett recognized the call on his life and became the youngest ordained minister of the Family Life Worship Center.Brother Burnett graduated from Delaware State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. While at DSU, Burnett was elected President of SAGS (Students Against a Godless Society) during his freshman year. During his sophomore year was chosen to be President of the Hornet (the campus newspaper) and was initiated into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, where he was elected President of the Gamma Sigma Chapter as neophyte. During his senior year, Brother Burnett was elected Mr. Delaware State University. He competed nationally and became the first King to win Mr. Historically Black College and University and the national crown of Mr. Oratory.Brother Burnett has always been committed to changing the negative stereotypes of young black men from the inner city. His goal is to encourage young black men to demonstrate that they are intelligent, respectful, ethical and purposed-driven. Brother Burnett has always understood the importance of education, however, it was during his college tenure that he truly began to appreciate the value and magnitude of pursuing ang obtaining a college degree.After graduating from DSU, Brother Burnett help found a big brother program for young men that focuses on the principles of mentorship, higher education awareness, brotherly accountability and social fellowship. Currently, he works as an Admissions Counselor for DSU. His gift of public speaking along with is passion to see young adults live successfully has allowed him to speak across the northeast region; preparing young minds for the transition into higher education.As said by President Barack Obama: Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself, that you realize your true potential.
