The idea of beauty is one that I find intriguing. What is beauty? Does it matter? Is the search for beauty wholly about vanity, or is something deeper to be found as I look for it? Why does a smile cross my face at the sight of something lovely? And where does that confidence come from when I look in the mirror to see someone exquisite staring back? Maybe beauty simply is in the eye of the beholder, merely a subjective matter. Yet, despite all my queries, this I do know; that beauty is important. Somehow it is essential to life, like every cell that makes up a whole. Beauty is what I need.
