Cafe Society

About Me

Cafe Society offer up-market venues a new and sophisticated form of lounge music. The duo, consisting of two of London’s most highly-regarded musicians, Huw Price and Thierry Paul, have been playing together since they collaborated in the London soul band Spengler, holding nightclub residencies at venues such as Momo’s and China White. Spengler’s releases have since gone on to receive great acclaim, getting airplay on stations like Choice FM and Kiss FM.

Cafe Society play soul with a modern twist, where soul vocals float over funky breakbeats and deep basslines underpin wild jazz guitar explorations… This is fresh music with danceable grooves and sophisticated melodies. The music, always tastefully arranged, includes both established classics and rare, forgotten gems played as you’ve never heard them before… While the mood is always soulful, Cafe Society are not afraid to play danceable re-interpretations of jazz, hiphop and rock classics.
