About Me

Ay up. The Universe is a big place, and we're pretty small and insignificant. We're born, we live, we die without any real effect on the running of the general tick-tock of existence. And when we die, there ain’t nothing beyond the veil. So how do we deal with this cruel, scary concept? Well, people either go mad, or create art. Or both. We make a nice painting or a nice novel and go: “Take this Universe, I’ve made something that matters!” We’re trying to prove our existence. In this case, I’m proving my existence through poetry. You’re not a mind-reader, you’ve no clue what’s going on in my mind. And, unfortunately, neither have I. So in an attempt to “order the sordid unordered thoughts in my head” I’m going to scribble them down, or, more accurately, translate ‘MyMind’-- into English which is a structured and restricted form of understanding very unlike emotional human neuron activity which seems all very chemical and random to me. Then, just for t’crack, I decided to let everyone hear these poems because, well, human experience, sharing, understanding, reflection etc. I wanna be famous etc. You will then translate the English into you ‘YourMind’ (which is your version of ‘MyMind’) and then, well, whatever happens in your head stays in your head. Unless you write a poem too. The reason I say ‘em not write ‘em down? It’s performance poetry of course! Some say I should go slower. If anything I need to go FASTER!!! As 'Your Hell you are' states, criticism always welcome, albiet useless. So here it is, a window into my head. My art, my poems, laid out before you in the form of the Anglo-Saxon English language, myself in the form of words. Don't get me wrong, this is all an act. All and image for the performance and the show. Will you ever know the real me? I don't even know the real me! Enjoy!
(P.S. Anyone want to invite/book/inform me about gigs, poetry readings, open mic nights I could do me stuff?)
(P.P.S. I know what you're thinking...trilby...shades...arty outlook...neckerchief... Well don't judge a book by it's cover, boyo.)
