Solemate

Solemate was born in sunny july 1983, even more north than both his village and his hometown. Started to play the piano before he could walk, and became quite tight at those drums as it was time for his family to move south. Not that south though, they ended up in this little village somewhere between Umeå and Skelltown.
At the age of ten he formed his first band with ambitions. Well. The ambitions might have been a little bit too high for a promising start, but at lease it was a beginning of something. In every new music project this young man got into the coming years, you found the same friends behind him. And you stilll did around 1999 when they all thougt making hiphop music would be the right thing to do.
With Solemate, or E-main as he called himself back then, in the front Gallows Hill* invaded their district with homemade Fruityloop-beats and halfass lyrics. In English of course, and things haven’t really changed much since then. Anyways, people around them weren’t that interested in hiphop at all. So when Smart & Hairy* got tired of rapping and Booda* found better things to do than working on his cuts, Solemate packed his talent in a backpack and took off for Skelltown.
And Skelltown was the place to be. Soon he hooked up with Goblin, who introduced him to the Black Lodge studio. At this time freestyling was more popular than ever and night after night passed away in the micbooth. In 2005 Solemate got an offer he couldn't resist. Questionmark, formerly known as Mr Hammond from Sub Fusion, had this new thing going on. A brand new band with Artform as beatmaker and Mark himself behind the mic. And there was Drift Swifty.
After a few years in Skelltown, Solemates body and mind got a bit tired. Collective living, and the whole lowlifestyle started to show it's seamy side. Once again he packed his bags and left his smalltown, back to the village where he belong. He started to work on a new project, Syrap Studio, where he nowadays is making all his music. A little more Solo-Solemate and a lotta lotta Solematemusic...
