I am Ara which means mystery or wonder,it's a name given to me by my late grandfather,am the 7th child in a family of 9 and am the only musician. I started singing at the age of 5 but went professional at the age of 10 but didn't get to release my album then. Today i am recognized for being a foremost female performer and the first female talking drummer,i dabbled into a male dominated field and am glad i did,it's all about doing something different and unusual and that's why am a wonder or mystery as my name says.I am an exotic African female performer.....a drummer that can sing and dance.
I have been to Europe and the USA,i featured on Steve Wonder's latest album if your love cannot be moved,it's the first track and i played about 4 drums there.
Meeting Stevie was a dream come true,when he invited me to L A i couldn't believe it,we had previously met in Ghana,we danced.....
I have 7 awards and the key to city of Miami,a recognition i got about 3yrs ago.I just concluded my first album and it will be released very soon.
