As heard on American IdolGrammy-nominated singer/songwriter/producer Lauren Christy is one of three members of the hitmaking pop production team "The Matrix". Lauren hails from London, where she began her career as a professional ballet dancer. She soon turned to songwriting and hit the pop charts in 1992 with her debut album "The Color of Night" from Mercury Records. Lauren's follow-up album "Breed" was released in 1997. Soon after, she teamed up with Graham Edwards and Scott Spock and formed the The Matrix. The group is responsible for writing and producing many of today's pop hits. The Matrix received multiple Grammy nominations as the writers and producers of "Complicated", "Sk8er Boi" and "I'm With You" for Avril Lavigne. They wrote and produced "The Remedy" for Jason Mraz, "So Yesterday" for Hilary Duff, "Don't Bother" for Shakira, "Why Can't I?" and "Extraordinary" for Liz Phair, "3AM" for Busted and many others for artists including Britney Spears, Korn, The Mooney Suzuki, Son of Dork and more. The Matrix recently completed producing Ferras' debut album "Aliens and Rainbows" featuring the single "Hollywood's Not America".
