Remshot (Jeremy of 17 Hertz)

Remshot has been producing records for his crew Rising Asterisk since 2002. Teamed up with Bay Area mc battling champ Tantrum, Remshot produced the Shift 8 Mixtape and Five Point Theory Ep. During the summer of 07, the Bay Area beatsmith took a crack at the Beat Battle circuit and found success in winning local battles and finishing in the top 4 in Scribble Jam 08's producer challenge. His early production style included sampling from vinyl records and mpc drumming. Remshot's craft has now expanded to recording live musicians and playing keyboard synths himself. Remshot specializes in transforming an artist's potential into complete songs. As a songwriter and rapper himself, Rem has the ear for finishing masterpieces. In 08, the Rising Asterisk will drop their album titled Rise & Shine which will include Remshot's latest beats in a futuristic soulful sound.
