Rui Vinagre

Rui Vinagre Iniciou o estudo da Guitarra Portuguesa em Coimbra no ano de 1996 na Secção de Fado da Associação Académica de Coimbra e posteriormente na Escola da Guitarra, da Viola e do Fado de Coimbra.
Em 1998 cria e desenvolve o Projecto “Despertar”, composto essencialmente por um repertório do mestre Carlos Paredes.
Este músico preocupa-se em executar a Guitarra Portuguesa com as técnicas correctas existentes, através de repertório tradicional, e dedica-se à composição temas no âmbito de novos e originais caminhos para o instrumento.
Em 2002 inicia o projecto TRILHOS – “Os novos trilhos da Guitarra Portuguesa”

Ao executar a Guitarra Portuguesa, divulga um instrumento único de uma cultura que se encontra em permanente expansão pelo mundo, enquadrando-o em diversos géneros e estilos que englobam a música tradicional portuguesa, a música clássica, o jazz, a música de dança, promovendo uma fusão, em que o som deste instrumento, normalmente associado ao “fado” se enquadra de forma única.

Rui Vinagre has initiated the study of Portuguese Guitar in Coimbra in 1996 in the section of Fado from the Academic Association of Coimbra and later in the Escola da Guitarra, da Viola e do Fado de Coimbra (School of Portuguese Guitar, Classical Guitar and Fado from Coimbra).
In 1998 he creates the project “Despertar” (Awake), composed essentially by a repertoire of the master of Portuguese Guitar, Carlos Paredes.
At the same time he worries about playing the Portuguese Guitar with the correct existing techniques, through the performing of the traditional repertoire composed for this instrument, he also dedicates himself to the composition and exploration of the instrument in the scope of new and original paths for the instrument and for its performing techniques.
In 2002, Rui initiates the project TRILHOS – “Os novos trilhos da Guitarra Portuguesa” (PATHS – “The new paths of the Portuguese Guitar”
