About Me
Born in England, Mark went straight on the road at age 16, having his first hit with ‘Sniff ‘n the Tears’. Since then he’s performed on over 60 Gold & platinum records. In the 90’s Mark was lead vocalist on a Mike Oldfield European hit ‘Far Country’, followed by two self-penned US top 20 AC radio hits in ‘95. In 97-98 Mark was on-camera Musical Director & Composer for NBC’s nationally syndicated ‘Arthel & Fred Show’, & in 1998 he was co-writer & lead vocalist for the Rippington’s Jazz chart topper ‘Black Diamond’. Mark is lead vocalist & bass player with the band TRW, a stunning rock trio which also includes legendary drummer John ‘JR’ Robinson, & guitar virtuoso Michael Thompson. Mark Williamson has worked in sessions or live dates with many artists, including:Freddie Mercury, George Harrison, Stevie Wonder, Steve Winwood, Jeff Beck, Deneice Williams, Chaka Kahn, The Moody Blues, Roger Daltrey & the Who, Celine Dion, Phillip Bailey, Mike Oldfield, Elton John, Mindi Abair, Bryan Adams, UFO, The Mama’s & Papa’s, The Rippingtons, Dave Koz, George Benson, Jackson Brown, Melinda Doolittle, Michael MacDonald & Peter Frampton.Mark has composed for The BBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, Thames Television, A&E, Fox, Nascar & HBO. He’s written & sung scores of jingles, including Coca Cola, Sprite, Oldsmobile, Ford, Jaguar, M&M’s, Cadbury’s, Mars, Snickers, Michelob, Guinness & Seagrams.
