South African born Portuguese artist. Taught herself the guitar at the age of 16 and wrote her first unreleased songs at this age strongly influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Her first studio experiences were in Oure Idraetshoejskole, Denmark, where she produced a piece for a modern dance performance and performed live at school concerts at 17. In her later teenage years and early 20ies she moved on to the influences of Classical guitar, Jazz and Bossa Nova while living in Copenhagen, and composed a few pieces for the classical guitar with a clear reference to the work of Heitor Villa-Lobos. In her early 20ies she engaged in jazz vocal training her repertoire consisting of songs by Astrud Gilberto, Joao Gilberto, Antonio Jobim, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. After taking a 6 year break from musicmaking her comeback is impelled by the electronic/dance scene experimenting with identity and subgenres where the synth and a sultry vocal become the centre of attention.
