About Me

Music. I live, sleep, eat, and breathe it. Listening, collecting, playing, recording. Working dog by day, I dig relaxing and creating in my small makeshift home recording studio with my 2 cats by night. I love meeting people with a passion for music and I believe you can learn something from anybody. My ears are wide open. I'm listening.
If you wonder what I'm hearing in my head right now, feel free to check out some of my demos I sometimes toss up at http://www.myspace.com/thenyquistplot

I sometimes write music reviews for www.lunapark6.com - an awesome website focusing on indie rock, new computer tech, and asian films. Come visit us!

The human thought process fascinates me, I could listen to people expound and ruminate all night. Possibly longer if you add a tasty dark beer.
My musical tastes and whims are all over the map...some things I've been listening to recently...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who love music. I tend to consume pretty much anything outside of top 40 or modern country. Scandinavian Death Metal? sure. Good trip hop? Oui. Indie rock goodness? Perhaps my favorite. Classical virtuosity? Mmmmm. Holst's The Planets. Brazilian Bossa Nova? Astrud Gilberto makes me want to fuck. Sugary power pop? The sweeter the better. Bring it all. Goth, Punk, Bluegrass, Drum and Bass, Emo, Rockabilly, Surf, genre makes no difference, whatever...it's all meat. If you play it, if you record it, if you love it, I want to meet you.
Like Godzilla/rubber monster flicks? Horror b-movies? Russ Meyeresque stuff? Asian chop sockey fare? John Woo-ish gunplay? Bizarre films in general or things that sometimes tend to be "uncomfortable" ? Classic black and white horror/sci fi? Hammer films? Shock? Shlock? You get the idea. If you're into this kinda thing, others who enjoy talking/trading weird and unusual films with is always a plus.
People. Just people in general. Fascinate me. Got something witty and intelligent to say? I'm captivated. Something inane? That's fine too - in fact - sometimes better

The sound of pins dropping.

The last thing I should be doing right now is woodshedding for a few days over some personal demo thing. A place for songs that I've written that feel to me like they need a home. That place just got ...
