About Me

Todd Owens has been playing and writing original music now for more than half his life. His music career started in the local music scene of Arizona. Todd’s evolution as a musician started as a lead guitar player for some great local bands like: 3 & 1/2 Crackers, Spank Lois, 9 Volt, & The Fondells. He then started writing and arranging his own songs as a solo acoustic act in 2003 and was eventually given the opportunity to work in a very well funded and ambitious project called Vonzeles in 2004. Working with Vonzeles gave Todd the taste of what being a Pro-musician was like. He got the opportunity to work in a real recording studio along side producer Ken Mary of Sonic Phish Productions, learning many aspects of song writing from Ken he never knew existed. And even toured with Vonzeles in late 2003 to 2005 to promote their debut LP New Existence. After leaving Vonzeles in late 2005, Todd took his musical wisdom and talents to another level. Leaving behind the anger soaked lyrics he wrote and felt stuck with in alot of the Vonzeles songs, he started a project that is devoted to a more positive vibe and outlook on life called Seventy Five Summers. "I am thankful I got to get most of the hard times of my life off my chest through my words, but after a while I was completely over it, and felt like I was constantly telling stories about who I used to be, and not who I had become and who I wanted to be." Now Todd and the talented fellas in Seventy Five Summers are currently performing and writing music together back home in the great state of Arizona! They have built the band from the ground up and have had many different musicians be a part of the journey. Seventy Five Summers has preformed as an opening act for nationally signed bands and has most recently started playing their music on local television programs in Arizona, delivering their music to a much larger audience. Seventy Five Summer's music is with out a doubt the most technical guitar work anyone will ever hear! (That being said without ego or lack of respect for other artist's work) Seventy Five Summers guitar sound was spawned by former member and Todd's guitar mentor, John Chakeris. Todd used his producing talents to mold John's unique style to form the song's compositions and arrangements’ into what they are today. John Chakeris has since passed the rains over to his guitar protégés from Seventy Five Summers so they can continue to share the awesome music him and Todd wrote together.
