Ribcage Echoes

About Me

First things first... We will be in a state of hibernation for at least 3 years. Writing at ease. Trying out new things. Maybe some homerecording. Perhaps some try-outs. So keep checking this page.
When 'Phoebus' came to an end (2003 - 2005), Jeroen and Kristof decided to form a new band. Joachim and Peter (also both ex-Phoebus) got into the band as well. And so 'Ribcage Echoes' was born. The band used the same line-up as 'Phoebus' did, except for Jeroen and Kristof who frequently switched places. The band started out with alternative rock, but soon the genre changed to ambient & experimental music, with Sigur Rós and Radiohead as their most important influences. Finally Jeroen became the main songwriter. He took the other bandmembers on a succesfull journey through soundscapes. Again this journey came to an end, unfortunately. Everyone was getting too busy with being busy. And as if that just wasn't enough, they lost their precious attic, where the band rehearsed for over 3 years and a half. For now the band is in a state of hibernation...
