About Me

Bass Lions ain't yella; we ain't never scared. Bass Lions ain't scared to make big beats and acoustic guitars into bed-fellows. Bass Lions ain't scared of chiming guitars, mope-y bass lines, found-sounds-from-all-around, and warm synthesizers. Bass Lions ain't scared to sing! sing! sing! in harmony, in brassy choirs, or all alone in rock'n'roll-baritone and cracked falsetto. Bass Lions ain't yella: Bass Lions are gold!

Bass Lions reclaim the stage with "More Than Islands", the first EP for a band surely "more than the sum of their parts." Short but delectable, the new band... fill out their sound with a six-track set, hopefully melancholic, bold and beautiful. Exclaim! Magazine [Toronto, Ontario]
[Bass Lions'] debut EP, "More Than Islands", shows depth and breadth in songwriting and lyrical strength. Philosophical enough for the smart kids and musical enough for the casual listener, Bass Lions have crafted an EP that challenges and soothes... --Fazer Magazine [London, Ontario]
Topped off with infectious hooks and choruses, [Bass Lions'] sound is accessible yet extremely unique.Their debut EP, "More Than Islands", is beautiful from start to finish. --Clash Music [London, England]
...["More Than Islands"] feels like it's over before it's even begun. That's the sign of a great EP, when it leaves you longing for more... I've got a feeling that the full length, should [Bass Lions] choose to do one, is going to be amazing. --It's Not The Band I Hate, It's Their Fans [Toronto, Ontario]

’Tour is better than one,’

said Charlie, as he scratched a little design in the salt and grime on the van's window. And he was right: two quebec shows, one flat tire, one hospitable grandma, and the open road.
